I am an outdoor guide and a coach, living and working in Iceland. I work both on the sea and on land, having paddling as my main focus. I treat sea kayaking as my vocation as well as my passion – being out at the sea drives me every day to be a better paddler, guide, coach and a person, tuned in with the surrounding environment.
For the last couple of years icelandic Westfjords have been my home and my office where I am a full time guide. I lead a spectrum of trips: from one day to multi day kayaking and hiking, exploring the landscape and wildlife of the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.
I took my first steps in paddling when I was six years old. Since then I have paddled on lakes, rivers and seas in Iceland, Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Sweden, Greenland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. I am a certified British Canoeing Advance Sea Kayak Leader and I have coached and assisted on sea kayaking symposiums in the UK and Iceland.
During winter 2020, right before the pandemic broke loose, I had the privilege to circumnavigate the biggest island of the Mediterranean Sea – Sicily, becoming the first woman to do this solo.
